Ensemble Liaison (Trio)
Formed in 2006, Ensemble Liaison comprises three internationally acclaimed musicians – David Griffiths (clarinet), Svetlana Bogosavljevic (cello) and Timothy Young (piano).
In 2007 they presented the inaugural Ensemble Liaison and Friends Concert Series from Melbourne’s BMW Edge, at Federation Square.
Their 2010 season included collaborations with internationally acclaimed soprano, Cheryl Barker and violin virtuoso and Melba artist, Ray Chen, winner of the 2009 International Queen Elizabeth Violin competition in Brussels.
Ensemble Liaison has been invited by Chamber Music New Zealand to undertake a 10 concert tour in 2011, performing Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time.
Critics have hailed their performances as: spellbinding, flawless, a revelation, moving, joyous, polished, stunningly blended, engaging, powerful and having boundless lyricism, enthusiasm and dexterity.
Ensemble Liaison has performed around Australia and made their Sydney debut at Government House in 2010 and toured northern NSW for Musica Viva Australia.
In 2010 Ensemble Liaison became Melba artists. Their first Melba CD was released in October 2011 featuring Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time and Zemlinsky’s Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano.
